My Favourite Book of All Time

I love reading books; books are a very good source of entertainment. I have read many books in my life, and my favorite book is called “The Red and the Black” by Stendhal. “The Red and the Black” is a French novel published in 1830. It is about the life of a young man names Julien Sorel who is born into a poor family but is able to rise to the top of society. Julien is able to accomplish this by working very hard, however the aspect of the book that makes me admire Julien is that in this book, the thoughts and what Julien is thinking is told to the reader. It is very fascinating to look into the mind of Julien and see what he thinks and what he does that make him become so successful. Furthermore, Julien’s life is a very fascinating one, it is very interesting to see how he turns from a carpenter’s son to the tutor of the mayor and eventually rises to a high position in the Roman Catholic Church.
